- Serendib C.C Vs Tokyo Predators C.C
June 27 At Shizuoka
Serendib booked their place in the KCL play-offs with a comfortable win over 10-man Predators in Shizuoka. Batting first in ideal conditions, Serendib were pinned back twice thanks to tight bowling (particularly Prasad and Peter) and great catching, including 2 by Prasad and a veritable "Kyle Coetzer" by Peter.
But Danuka and Shiron steadied the innings and a late blitz from Manoj (41*) took Serendib to a respectable 221/9. Predators' chase never really got going and with only one partnership of note (Prasad and Peter again), Serendib were able to juggle 9 bowlers on the way to a 100+ run win. Serendib have now finished their league round of matches and, with a 4-1 record, are guaranteed a spot in the semi-finals.

June 14 At Shizuoka
The 10 men strong Engineers won the toss and elected to bat first. They started off well with a solid opening partnership of 43 but then collapsed to 49/6. Some rear guard action from the tail helped them score 124 in 31.3 overs. In contrast, Kytes played well chasing the small total with an opening partnership of 54 but the Engineers did give them a scare with some quick wickets that saw them reduced to 65/4. But Mewan and Neil managed the situation and saw them through. Shoaib Aziz's score of 4 off 42 deliveries was the highlight of the match!

- Serendib C.C Vs Indian Engineers C.C
May 31 At Shizuoka
IECC winning streak broken by Serendib
Serendib won the toss and elected to bat first and batted intelligently mixing caution with aggression to post a very challenging total of 248 in 40 overs. There were a couple of rain interruptions which made the bowlers' task more difficult.
IECC started promisingly scoring 50 in just 5 overs. But some poor running between the wickets and some untimely wickets took the game out of IECC's reach. Finally they got all out for just 188 on the 31st over.
Brief score card....
Serendib C.C 248 in 40 overs (Dhanuka(73), Ashok 4/39)
Engineers C.C 188 in 30.3 overs (Dinesh(29),Vimal (26), Ashanka 2/35)
- Serendib C.C Vs Nagoya C.C
May 30 At Shizuoka
Nagoya upset Serendib on the back of a strong bowling and fielding display in Shizuoka. 3 excellent catches and 1 sharp runout backed up tight bowling from Hassarat (5 overs for 6 runs), Shafeeq and Saqib (5/24) to restrict Serendib to 119 all out. Manoj top-scored with 48. For a change, the Serendib bowlers were a little wayward, allowing Nagoya a relatively pressure free chase built around Madan's 21*. Just as a flurry of wickets suggested Nagoya might collapse on the final straight, Saqib came in to bolster nerves and finish the game in a hurry with 3 quick boundaries
- Y.C.A.C Vs Al Karam C.C
May 10 At YC&AC
The eagerly awaited high voltage clash between Al Karam and Y.C.A.C turned into a damp squib as Al Karam breezed past Y.C.A.C by 7 wickets. In a match played at the Y.C.A.C home ground, Al Karam won the toss and asked Y.C.A.C to bat first.

- Shizuoka Kytes C.C Vs Nagoya C.C
May 10 At Shizuoka
This was a very close match and with big ups and downs. Kytes batted first to score 160. The contribution of 46 from wides was highest to the total. Kytes top batsmen did well and even though they collapsed later, they had a decent 160 on board.
Nagoya's Madan (opener) chopped a ball onto his foot and retired hurt early. Saqib, the other opener, was also injured a bit but continued with a bye runner. At a time the game seemed to be going away from the Kytes skipper Nick brought himself on for 2-3 overs and got 3-4 wickets which helped them win by 9 runs.
