On a bright and sunny day, Giants capt. Mumtaz won the toss and asked his team mates for their choice and all of them shouted "Batting" and Mumtaz nonchalantly asked Lalazar to bat first!!

Ashiq and Rizwan walked in to open, and a couple of local talents started proceedings for Giants. The diminutively built Hagiwara generated good pace and Kobayashi matched him from the other end. It was interesting to watch these two Japanese talents with limited experience bowling with discipline, pace and control. And keeping to them was another Japanese, Tetsuro Chino who was simply superb. Lalazar struggled through most of their innings till Zahid came to the crease. He blasted the spinners with some big sixes and ended his innings with 3 consecutive sixes of Tauseef before getting caught behind. Aided by his explosive innings of 54, Lalazar closed their innings at 30.4 overs for 156. Much was expected from Rizwan and Gulzar, but it was not to be with Rizwan unnecessarily getting run out and Gulzar bowled by Giants Captain who was the pick of the bowlers with his stump to stump line.

Giants started their chase with Kobayashi opening the batting too and played some lovely off drives. He along with Naeemuddin combined into a good partnership and almost sealed the match for Giants. Naeem after some inital hiccups settled into a good innings. Though Mubashir and Nouman bowled with venom and pace, Giants were never really troubled. Gulzar bowled a decent spell in the middle. In the end Giants won the match by 5 wkts with almost 10 overs to spare.
